The website www.adaptationtoday.com grows to include more resources for adaptation studies scholars and the adaptation-curious, so that it can operate as a central hub for supporting existing scholars and educating prospective ones.
In this group, I am especially responsible from mentoring activities. I recognize that the path to an academic career is often unclear and can be particularly challenging for women and other underrepresented groups. Traditional academic environments don't always offer the support needed to navigate these challenges. The mentorship program I created aims to fill this gap by providing accessible, meaningful opportunities for guidance and professional development through workshops, talks, and Q&A sessions.
The World Literature Webinar Series is a global initiative, co-led with Dr. Simla Doğangün (CNRS-EHES-Université Paris 1 Panthéon), that brings together writers, translators, and educators to discuss the circulation and transformation of literature across borders.
Moving Texts from Anatolia” is aiming to create a platform in which scholars and public can gain open access to a digital archive of Turkish film adaptations and the chronological mapping of their journeys. My interdisciplinary research hub will use this site to create, locate, transcribe, and archive the documentary record related to this nearly forgotten history and to curate engaging digital exhibits that highlight its significant events and themes.
